I've said it before and will probably have to say it again, avoid JC Whitney like the plague. Most of their items are very poorly built knock-offs of quality products. They charge he price of decent parts, the shipping and handling costs are astronomically high compared to other vendors, and they generally won't have what you order in stock.
If I was going to put a windscreen on my Savage, I would use either a Rifle or HD Sportster model. Both are good units, the Rifle product is better made and worth every penny. I have used factory HD and windjammer fairing screens with some success. I don't like windshields on small bikes, my bike won't be getting one if I can avoid it, meaning I need to fix my wife's bike and steal mine back from her.
